The impact sound generated by walking, moving chairs, use of household appliances in contact with the floor, are a source of very unpleasant noise that residents often complain in multi-family buildings. Thus, the insulation against impact sound is certainly one of the important parameters of home comfort.
 
A floating floor is the main structure to solve the problems generated by the impact sounds in construction.
 
Floating floor structure usually includes an insulating layer applied over the elastic structure subjected to heavy loads and a protective layer applied over it. Depending on the type of materials used in the protective layer there are two methods to build a floating floor structure:
– The “wet” pour as a protective layer of cement screed
– The “dry” protective layer consists of a slight floor plate (chipboard, plasterboard, etc.)
